Class this week: We are beginning a semester of biology, starting with the cells unit. Students are learning the characteristics of life and concepts of cell theory. Ask them about the meat experiment by scientist Francisco Redi or the broth experiment by Louis Pasteur and where we get the term "pasteurized" from! Next up? Microscope work, differences between plant and animal cells, kingdoms of life, and a live microscopic organism lab!
